Week 4

Today I got to shoot for a Fred Meyer ad coming out on December 9th. I got to shoot two small picture frames, the basic light set up was one strip box at on the background, a beauty dish and scrim on the left side and a medium soft box on the right side. The picture frames were on fishing wire hanging from a c-stand arm and wax on the back so the frames wouldn't spin around. It was pretty exciting to do. I am looking forward to seeing it in the ad even if it is only a small section. I also learned in more detail about the equipment and helped to clean up stuff around the set. Another photographer also showed me a tilt shift lens it was pretty cool to see how that worked. Another tip I learned today was if you are shooting with a camera facing downward on a stand, tape the lens so the rings inside don't move after time. I got a talk through capture one and how they use it in the studio.
